Born and raised on the Mid North Coast, Trevor Burns is a third generation tradesman and learned the importance of reputation from his father and grandfather. Trevor has been involved with the construction industry since 1981, including a stint as general manager of a reputable commercial construction company that specialised in design and construction for the New South Wales Government’s Department of Public Works.
In 2002 Trevor and his wife Tesha joined the G.J. Gardner Homes team and opened their Port Macquarie office. Trevor loves taking his clients’ vision for a home and bringing together all the tiny details required to make this a reality, with the highest focus on quality and purpose. Outside of work he and Tesha enjoy spending time with their daughter Tarin, who is studying at university, and son Kane, who is a second-year apprentice carpenter.

Contracts manager Neil Ussher will also look after your project from contract to completion, including the all-important colour and inclusion selections. With a background in trades and high-end timber projects, Neil is also experienced in estimating and has independently managed multi-million dollar projects.
Once construction gets underway you can be sure your build project is in good hands with Ray Long, who is G.J. Gardner Homes Port Macquarie’s construction manager and estimator. Ray began his career as a bricklayer and builder and has more than 35 years’ experience in the residential building industry.
In the office, accounts and administration manager Julie Garland looks after day-to-day administrative business and offers all clients prompt service, regular updates on financial matters and – most importantly – a friendly smile.
