Our Area

On the New South Wales Mid North Coast, Port Macquarie is just under four hours north of Sydney and offers a family-friendly lifestyle with the relaxed feel of a small coastal town. Located at the mouth of the Hastings River, Port Macquarie features pristine beaches, stunning rocky outcrops and a backdrop of lush green valleys, along with first-class educational facilities. The Mid North Coast region also boasts an array of hinterland escapes, home to some of Australia’s most picturesque waterfalls and wildlife.

Port Macquarie was founded as a penal settlement in 1821 and is still home to St Thomas's Anglican Church, a Georgian-style church built by convicts under military supervision in the mid to late 1820s. Another local icon is the Tacking Point Lighthouse, built in 1879.

Where we build

The local area is popular with families and retirees, and Trevor and the team have the skills and expertise to manage any build project, from a contemporary beachfront home to a sprawling hinterland retreat. G.J. Gardner Homes can help you design the perfect home for any block, or if you love where you live but simply need to update your space, they can knock down and rebuild a brand-new home on your existing site.
